Juliane has owned and operated Pfeffer's Gourmet Catering for nine years, but her love of food and her passion for cooking started much, much earlier.
A childhood interest in food and cooking led Juliane to the restaurant industry. She got her start in California, where she first worked in restaurants as a bartender and server.
She loved serving and interacting with restaurant patrons, but as her love of good food continued to develop, her interests turned toward the kitchen. Juliane wanted to reach out to people through preparing great food, not just through serving it.
She continued to work towards this goal, but as a single mother, Juliane knew that a career in a restaurant wouldn't provide the kind of life she wanted for herself and her daughter. She dreamed of owning her own food business, where she could exercise her imagination in the kitchen and still provide a good life for herself and her daughter.
In December of 1997, Juliane's dream turned into a reality. She had an opportunity to purchase an established catering company halfway across the country in Rogers, Arkansas. After spending some time with the owner and getting to know the basic menu offerings, Juliane took over the company and renamed it Pfeffer's Gourmet Catering in January 1998.
Since then, the catering company has more than tripled in size, and Juliane's passion for cooking has remained strong. As a Sam's Club Member, Juliane is always fully prepared for any catering request, from 5 people to 500 people. She and her staff prepare gourmet creations for every kind of event - from business lunches to wedding receptions, and having Sam's Club as a business resource has played a major role in their continued success.
Juliane has raised three daughters while growing her business - Ryane, age 20; Taylor, age 7 and Delaney, age 5.
